How are you protecting against Covid?
We want everyone to be as safe as possible, and our bike tours are a great social distancing activity. We are sanitizing all high-touch surfaces regularly, such as seats and handlebars, we are making hand sanitizer and masks available for all, and we are following local government regulations. We will remain outside for the duration of the tour, giving guests an option to enter an eatery for lunch, be that to pick something up or sit down. The choice is up to you!
What's the cancellation policy for this tour?
We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour departure. Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply. London is known to be a bit rainy from time to time, so we've adapted! Our tours rain or shine and we have plenty of rain ponchos available in our office. Should the weather be particularly bad, feel free to reach out to us at +44.7882.338.779 to reschedule the tour for any other day for up to year, pending availability.
Where does this tour start?
We meet directly outside Queensway tube station, which is on the central line (the red line cutting across the map from east to west). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour to ensure that everyone has time to choose and test their bikes. Be sure to look for one of our guides near the red phone box outside of the station holding a Fat Tire sign.
Tell me more about the private tour option...
By securing a private guide just for your group, you'll guarantee adequate time at the stops that interest you most for photos, fun facts, and stories that you'll only get from a live guide. We are happy to customize your departure time and include specific sites as long as we can safely access them by bike within the allotted time. Our private version of this classic London cycle tour is perfect for families, couples, groups, and special occasions! You can select the private option when checking out and be sure to let us know more about your group in the notes so that we can make your time with us extra special.
How difficult/safe is this tour?
This is a perfect tour for all levels of cyclists, and we utilize bike lanes within the Royal Parks for the majority of the tour. We do ask that all participants are comfortable riding their own bike and riding in a group. We will have a small amount of road riding and need to cross traffic lanes, but we do so safely and as a group.
Will there be a lunch stop?
A traditional London pub is not to be missed, so we make time for it. About midway through the tour, we will stop near Trafalgar Square where there are plenty of options for lunch. Your guide will point out a pub should you fancy that, as well as places for sandwiches, international food, vegan/vegetarian options, and something for those with dietary restrictions.
Which palaces and museums will we enter?
Unfortunately we won't have time on this four-hour tour to enter any of the breathtaking museums and monuments that we'll see while on the tour. We will, however, equip you will all of the information you need to make educated decisions about how best to spend your time after the tour. We are happy to pass along recommendations, tips and tricks for skipping lines, and help you enjoy London however we can.
Could I store my bag at your office during the tour?
Absolutely. We have luggage racks and bungee cords on the back of every bike which can accommodate small bags and personal items. If you will be traveling with luggage or larger bags, you are welcome to leave that at our secure shop during the tour.
Is this a good tour for children?
