What are the covid policies for this tour?
We will maintain social distancing throughout the tour, which will not affect the overall tour experience. We sanitize all equipment (bikes and helmets) before and after each use. We'll also make hand sanitizer available for all guests. We would love for you to bring a mask along, should you want to enter our office before or after the tour, but you will very likely not need to wear a mask for the duration of the tour.

All bike tours begin at 701 D Street NW, Washington DC, 20004.
What's the cancellation policy?
We're happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour* Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.
Am I required to wear a helmet?
Yes, helmets are mandatory and provided free of charge. Your safety is important to us! Studies have shown that helmets can reduce head injuries by at least 85%.
Is a reservation necessary?
While reservations are not required, they are highly recommended. We maintain limited group sizes and will accommodate those who have reserved first, meaning that we may not have availability for you to join us without a reservation.
Is this tour kid-friendly?
Definitely! Lots of families join this tour as it's a great way to get the kids engaged in the city.
• For children younger than 18 months or 45lbs (20kg), we have baby seats that attach to the back of the parent's bike.
• For children up to 65lbs (30kg), we have tag-along trailers.
• For children up to 12 years old or 100lbs (45kg), we have 2 wheeled tag-along tandems where the child can coast or pedal.
• All riders over 100lbs (45kg) must ride their own bicycle and be comfortable doing so. We unfortunately can not accommodate adults who are not able to ride their own bike.
• We also have smaller sized mountain bikes for kids who want to ride on their own, and our adult bikes have a step-through frame making it easier for taller kids/shorter adults (note that none of our bikes have pedal brakes).
You can let us know in the notes of your booking which bike/accessory you'd like!
Which monuments will we see?
This tour is a great way to visit the various monuments that surround the Tidal Basin in D.C. We allow time for everyone to walk the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, the MLK Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, and the WWII Monument. We won't have time to enter the Washington Monument or any of the Smithsonians on this tour, but your guide will give you heaps of information to go back and visit these sites on your own after the tour.
Is this a good tour for expecting mothers?
We would love to invite everyone on tour, but we do ask that pregnant woman abstain, as this tour can be a risk to both child and mother.
How many people are in each group?
We guarantee no more than 8 guests per tour guide.
What is the weather policy?
Our tours run rain or shine, and we highly encourage guests to check the forecast and dress appropriately. We have rain ponchos available for anyone that forgets their own rain coat; they are $1 and we gladly will buy it back from you if it's not used. It's a great rain insurance policy to have!
If the weather looks especially bad, we'll reach out to cancel or see if we can move your booking. Feel free to contact us more than 24 hour prior to the start time of your tour to see about other availability. We will do our best to accommodate you.
